For Chef Princess Hilliard, cooking has never been just a career. It’s a way of life.
Raised in the kitchen and taught by her father, a professionally trained chef, Princess developed a love for food long before she ever imagined owning a catering company. Her culinary style is a reflection of everything that has shaped her along the way: cherished family recipes, dishes shared among friends, inspiration gathered through travel, and the belief that the best meals are made with intention, tradition, and love.
In 2015, Princess officially founded From Scratch With Love Catering from her apartment in Vallejo, California. What began as a small operation fueled by passion, determination, and a love for bringing people together through food has grown into an award-winning catering company operating out of a commercial kitchen in the very same city where it all began.
Today, From Scratch With Love proudly serves weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events throughout Northern California, with a client portfolio that includes PG&E, Kaiser Permanente, Apple, and Partnership HealthPlan of California. But beyond the recognizable names and milestones, what Princess values most are the relationships built along the way.
Some clients have been with From Scratch With Love since its earliest days, and some families have trusted Princess to prepare their holiday meals for more than 15 years.
